The wait for Age of Wonders 4 is finally over, as the game will be launching on across a variety of platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. There’s some niggles I have on console, but this is easy to recommend if you’re hankering for a new 4X strategy game. Despite the passage of time, the team continues to add innovative new concepts to this beloved franchise. Age of Wonders: Planetfall leapt from fantasy to science fiction, with a galaxy-spanning narrative and a nice blend of ideas for the races you face, following it up with a trio of expansions through 20. If you like 4X games, or have played any of the previous AoW games, youll feel right at home. Yes, played it yesterday evening and its a highly entertaining and very polished release.
